This is probably my favorite project so far, and it might stay that way for a while. A Dog's Nap was created at the Picture Book Lab at Fachhochschule Potsdam and is my first-ever picture book, inspired by my very best friend—my charismatic little dog, Friedrich. Every pet owner knows how adorable it is to watch their furry friends sleep, and I’ve always wondered what Friedrich dreams about. Why does he make those little sounds or movements while snoozing? For this children’s story, I decided to dive into that whimsical world of dreams.
This project was one of the most challenging yet rewarding experiences I’ve ever undertaken. I created the story, wrote the text, illustrated every page, and even designed the custom font for the book.
Completing this project has been incredibly fulfilling, and now I’m excited to find a publisher so more people can fall in love with Friedrich as much as I have.

Since I created so many illustrations, I couldn’t just leave them sitting in a drawer. To promote the book, I designed postcards and wrapping paper featuring a pattern that also appears in the book.
